Job Description:
Senior QS -Up to £73k plus £4-6K car allowance
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and strategic Quantity Surveyor to join our high-performing Energy South commercial team. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical capabilities, a meticulous eye for detail, and a passion for making informed, data-driven decisions.
Youll play a key role in overseeing commercial performance, providing leadership within the team, and ensuring the successful financial delivery of our projects.

You can choose to work at the following location:
Brighton, Dartford, Langley or Esher
In this role, youll be involved in:
* Managing subcontractor accounts and overseeing performance
* Supporting the Commercial Manager and providing oversight of the wider commercial team
* Addressing and resolving client disputes, as well as leading internal audits
* Maintaining and monitoring the commercial risk register
* Verifying measurements during weekly valuations to ensure accuracy
* Carrying out cost analysis and identifying opportunities for cost savings
* Reviewing contracts and analysing rates for competitiveness and compliance
* Producing detailed Cost Value Reports (CVRs) across all active projects
We're looking for someone who:
* Brings extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
* Has a track record of compiling complex subcontract orders, ensuring effective risk allocation and supporting operational delivery
* Demonstrates exceptional commercial and communication skills, confidently engaging with clients and leading internal stakeholders
* Is invested in the development of their team, offering guidance and mentorship to junior staff
* Possesses a charismatic and influential communication style, with the ability to land key messages effectively
* Has advanced Excel skills and a data-driven mindset
* Holds a degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or has significant relevant experience in a similar commercial role
