Our client based in Andover has an immediate requirement for a skilled and versatile Field Service Engineer with strong electrical, mechanical and programming capabilities.
This is a dynamic, field-based role combining installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and customer support, alongside involvement in machine build and development. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on engineering expertise with added value in electrical control systems and C++ programming for machine functionality and optimisation.

* Travel across the UK (and occasionally Europe) to install, service, and repair machinery
* Respond to urgent breakdowns within 24–48 hours
* Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
* Carry out planned maintenance and servicing activities
* Look after your own diary management for PPM activities
* Install new equipment and commission machines on customer sites
* Deliver face-to-face training to customers on safe operation and basic maintenance
* Support the manufacturing team with electrical wiring, control panel assembly, machine build and testing
* Assist with development and troubleshooting of control systems, including C++ based programming where required
* Maintain accurate service records and reports
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer or Field Service Engineer, strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills, experience with control systems and basic C++ programming (or willingness to develop), knowledge of wiring, control panels, machine assembly, excellent problem-solving ability and proactive mindset, strong communication skills with customer-facing experience and a full UK driving licence.
Applicants will need to be able to work on occasion at the Andover office, so will need to be local to the area; however, this is also a field-based role that will require UK wide travel and occasional trips to Europe.
For the right candidate we can offer a starting salary of between £35k and £42k per annum, dependent on experience; in time you can also qualify for a profit share scheme. The package also includes 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays, a standard pension and use of a company vehicle.
