We are looking to recruit a duty manager at our Hotel in Chesterfield. The ideal applicant will be responsible when on shift for the overall success of the business. You would be accountable for the day to day management of the Hotel and its resources and the level of customer satisfaction. The Duty Managers will report to the Hotel Manager and be required to be fully hands on in the day to day running of the Hotel. You will set and achieve targets as required whilst maintaining high levels of customer and employee satisfaction. You must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Able to oversee the planning and execution of great business performance whilst developing and training current and future leaders within the hotel. The hotel is currently under government contract and the successful candidate must be able to work with external parties and compliance officers.

Role overview (not limited to):
* Ensure the guests receive excellent customer service at all times
* Understand, manage and communicate business targets to fellow team members and manage accordingly
* Hold planning meetings with department heads
* Plan staff succession
* Audit all H&S requirements and report on accordingly
* Recruit, develop, reward and retain staff in order to deliver excellent levels of service both to guests and to each other.
* Deploy staff to obtain high levels of productivity
* Operational day to day running of hotel
* Optimize processes to maximise operational efficiency and manage staff in their effective use of these processes
* Use and maintain all other resources efficiently and effectively including the property, fixtures and fittings, machinery, systems and consumables
* Create and maintain an attractive climate for both staff and guests.
Specific Tasks
* Responsible for ensuring stocktakes are done and recorded on time.
* Responsible for overseeing purchase orders, approvals where needed etc.
* Responsible for on site HR and Payroll costs, schedules, recording and new starter information.
* Liaising with HR for all Employee issues including hiring, termination, appraisals, disciplinary.
* Responsible of the overall training of the team, including organising Statutory training through NatWest Mentor.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
