Trainee Utility Surveyor
to join our experienced team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to start a career in surveying, offering hands-on training, mentorship, and clear progression routes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in carrying out underground utility surveys using Electromagnetic Location (EML) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
* Work with top-of-the-range survey equipment, such as total stations and GPS
* Support senior surveyors in data collection and site work
* Learn to interpret utility records, plans, and survey data
* Help in producing CAD drawings and survey reports in line with industry standards
* Ensure adherence to health & safety protocols on site
* Maintain survey equipment and tools
What We're Looking For:
* 5 GCSE's Grade A-C / 9-5 (or equivalent) including Maths & English. (Required)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Interest in surveying, construction, civil engineering, or geospatial work
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
* Able to perform job duties that require working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* CSCS card (preferred, but training can be provided)
* Flexibility to work overnight/stay away, with opportunities to travel nationally and internationally.
* Ability to problem solve and adapt to change
