This is an exciting opportunity to join Kamelia Kids as our Charity Communications Officer, a key role in helping develop the nursery and sharing the great work that we do here
The perfect candidate ideally will have marketing experience and experience of working with a charity. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude who is looking to make this unique role their own.
In this diverse role you will be responsible for producing impactful communications across all platforms including our website, social media channels and newsletters. Internal and external communications and notice boards will be part of your daily tasks. Attending Board of Trustees meetings, you will be responsible for collating and distribute minutes and supporting the governance of the charity. You will also work closely with the Nursery Operations Director to support in the collating of information and writing bids for Trust funds. You will also help co-ordinate open days and events. You will be responsible for overseeing the IT systems and create annual surveys for both staff and parents.

Essential criteria:
* An enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references.
* Ability to use Microsoft Office packages effectively.
* Ability to produce reports and correspondence in a professional and accurate format, with attention to detail.
* Ability to maintain platforms including our website, social media channels.
* Sound understanding of Safeguarding.
* Excellent communication skills, written and oral, are essential to effectively liaise and work with nursery team, parents/carers & professionals.
* Positive attitude and ability to manage change effectively.
* Ability to work with and communicate with others to encourage their involvement.
* Commitment to and understanding of diversity and equality.
* Ability to work autonomously, supervising and responding to needs of the team as required to deliver exacting standards.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
