Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a
Finance Assistant
who will be primarily responsible for the
Purchase Ledger
function to work a specialist service provider in Redhill.
This role is crucial in ensuring smooth financial operations and will support the ongoing growth and effectiveness of our finance team.
Key Responsibilities
* Process supplier invoices against purchase orders
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
* Manage accounts and purchase ledger inboxes
* Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries
* Prepare weekly payment runs
* Process employee expenses and company credit card statements
* Conduct daily bank reconciliations
* Handle incoming calls and support ad hoc finance tasks (e.g., holiday cover)
About You
* 1–2 years' experience in a similar finance or accounts assistant role
* Strong Excel skills and comfortable using accounting software (experience with Xero is highly advantageous)
* Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A proactive, reliable self-starter who is equally comfortable working individually or collaboratively
