We're looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join a fast-paced electronics manufacturer where you can make a real impact on supply chain performance, supplier partnerships, and cost optimisation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys working strategically, supporting new product introductions, negotiating with suppliers, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
You'll work closely with production, engineering and quality teams, playing a key role in ensuring materials are sourced efficiently to support production schedules and customer demand.

The Role
As a Senior Buyer you will manage the sourcing and procurement of both direct and indirect materials, ensuring the right components are available at the right time and cost to support production.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic sourcing of electronic components, PCBs and related materials
Negotiating prices, contracts and delivery terms with suppliers
Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and sourcing new components
Managing supplier performance across cost, quality and delivery
Using ERP/MRP systems to manage purchasing and demand planning
Maintaining accurate purchasing data including pricing and lead times
Supporting customer RFQs with cost and supply chain insight
Identifying opportunities for cost savings and supply chain improvements
What We're Looking For
Experience in a Senior Buyer or Strategic Buyer role within manufacturing
Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (such as Sage 200)
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
Experience sourcing technical components or materials
Strong organisational and analytical skills
Desirable
Experience within electronics or EMS manufacturing
CIPS qualification or working towards
Knowledge of Lean, 5S or continuous improvement
