Job Title: SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) Location: Eastbourne Start Date: September Contract: Temporary (until December, with potential to extend) We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a supportive secondary school from September. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in shaping inclusive practice across the school. Initially offered until December, there is potential for the role to extend for the right candidate. What we’re looking for: * Qualified SENCO (National Award for SEN Coordination or equivalent) * Strong understanding of SEND legislation and statutory requirements * Proven experience supporting students with a wide range of special educational needs * Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals Key responsibilities: * Leading and coordinating SEND provision across the school * Monitoring EHCPs, learning plans, and interventions to ensure effective support is in place * Supporting and guiding staff in delivering high-quality inclusive teaching * Ensuring statutory requirements are met and all documentation is kept up to date Why join?
