Ward Manager - CAMHS (Young People 13-18) Full-time | 37.5 hours | Chelmsford A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Ward Manager to lead an 11-bedded CAMHS ward supporting young people aged 13-18 with acute mental health needs. You'll join a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a specialist private hospital setting. Key Responsibilities Lead the effective day-to-day management of the CAMHS ward. Ensure safe staffing levels, skill mix, rota planning and training compliance. Provide clinical supervision, appraisals and ongoing development for nursing staff. Support assessments, care planning and evidence-based therapeutic care. Maintain high standards of clinical governance, audit and service improvement. Promote a safe, compassionate environment that supports young people through crisis. Requirements NMC registration (Mental Health) essential. Minimum 2 years' supervisory/leadership experience in a relevant setting. Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management for children & young people. Confident managing rotas, staffing, performance and clinical standards. Resilient, compassionate and able to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience in CAMHS desirable, but strong adult MH leaders with transferable skills may be considered.
