Wrexham University has significantly developed its international footprint in recent years and seeks to appoint an International Engagement Officer to join our expanding team. Reporting to the Deputy Head of International, the International Engagement Officer will lead on providing advice, support and guidance on matters relating to induction, arrivals and immigration compliance, as well as serve as a point of referral to the institution’s wider student support services. The role will work closely with colleagues across the institution, in particular the Student Support team, to ensure a co-ordinated and joined-up approach to student support, as well as the Student’s Union. The International Engagement Officer, alongside the Compliance Manager, will also lead on ensuring student engagement aligns with the institutional and UKVI policy, communicating with and supporting students as necessary. A successful applicant will have proven track record of delivering high quality customer service, experience working with international students, and have an understanding of UKVI compliance. Applicants should possess excellent levels of cultural awareness and sensitivity and have a strong awareness and understanding of the issues international students encounter whilst studying in the UK.
