Job Description
* Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using AWS Glue.
* Implement and manage data governance, access control, and cataloguing with AWS Lake Formation.
* Develop and support data discovery, cataloguing, and sharing workflows using Amazon DataZone.
* Integrate and orchestrate workflows across Glue, Lake Formation, and DataZone to ensure seamless data movement and access.
* Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all AWS data services.
Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven hands-on experience with AWS Glue for ETL/ELT, data transformation, and pipeline orchestration.
* Practical experience implementing data governance, access control, and permissions with AWS Lake Formation
* Develop infrastructure as code using AWS CDK or similar tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
* Experience configuring and using Amazon DataZone for data cataloguing, sharing, and integration with Glue and Lake Formation.
* Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and query optimisation.
* Understanding of data modelling, metadata management, and best practices for data quality.
Desirable Skills
* Experience integrating Glue, Lake Formation, and DataZone for end-to-end data platform solutions.
* Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud data environments.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
