As group Finance Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of our Restaurant Group and the provision of financial services, analytical support and guidance to the management teams. You will manage a team of 2 and support the growth of the business.
You will report to the group CFO and work closely with the Managing Director, Operations Director and their management teams across all locations.
The role.
* Ensure the smooth day to day running of the financial function of the group, including payables, receivables, VAT reporting and ONS filings.
* Prepare monthly and annual financial reporting for the Group in accordance with Group reporting deadlines and procedures, including the monthly board pack.
* Balance sheet control and reconciliations.
* Management and review of the monthly profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, cash flows and CapEx spending for UK and non-UK entities.
* Year-end audit management and liaison with external auditors.
* Liaising with HMRC and other bodies on regulatory matters as necessary.
* Improve/automate monthly management reporting packs including KPI ratios and variance analysis.
* Preparation of annual budgets, drive re-forecasting process and conduct strategic reviews as necessary.
* Management and leadership of your direct reports, ensuring accountability.
Your previous experience & ability.
* Fully Qualified ACCA/CIMA with at least 5-year experience in the hospitality sector.
* Proven track record as a finance leader.
* Excellent advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and MS Office suite.
* Experience in using Fourth FnB, Twinfield and EPOS system would be desirable.
* Experience of managing a team including hiring, training, appraisals and team development.
* Strong communication skill at all levels, both verbal and written, and strong influencing skills and ability to contribute effectively to strategy as part of the Senior Management Team.
* Self-starter, capable of managing multiple responsibilities and able to deliver to strict deadlines, and leading direct reports to do the same.
Please note the role operates a 4 & 1 model with four days based at our London (Soho) Head Office, and one day remote working.
