Job Title: Multi‑Skilled Shift Engineer
Location: Wrexham
Salary: £51,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Continental shifts (12.25 hours, rotating days & nights – 05:45 to 18:00), 4 on / 4 off

Key Responsibilities
As a Multi‑Skilled Shift Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of production operations. Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining a safe working environment for employees and visitors
* Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to optimise equipment performance
* Responding promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
* Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce energy consumption
* Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment
* Working collaboratively with production, technical, and engineering teams
* Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and managing expectations effectively
* Ensuring audit readiness and compliance with relevant standards
* Working closely with project engineering teams on site improvements and upgrades
* Actively participating in ongoing training and development
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
* Proven experience in a similar engineering role within a manufacturing environment
* Electrically or mechanically qualified (or time‑served) with multi‑skilled capability
* Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
* Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG environments
* Familiarity with modern production machinery and automated systems
