About the team
The European Financial Control team handles reporting, accounting, and reconciliations for the firm’s European entities. The team comprises 4 members in London and 2 in India.
Job Title:
Assistant Vice President (Contract – 6 months)
Key Responsibilities
* Legal entity controller for European entities, including financial statement preparation.
* Assist in expense monitoring for Brokerage and Clearing, coordinating with various departments.
* Post journals for month-end closing.
* Analyze and substantiate balance sheet accounts.
* Prepare management reports for senior management.
* Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
* Respond to financial control queries from stakeholders.
* Improve existing processes for efficiency.
Person Specification
Required skills and experience:
* Legal Entity Control experience.
* Financial services experience is a plus.
* Detail-oriented with high standards.
* Proficiency in Excel.
* Experience with PeopleSoft is advantageous.
* Knowledge of UK GAAP and US GAAP is beneficial.
* Strong communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
* Team-oriented and collaborative attitude.
