Teaching Assistant – Specialist Primary Setting
Location: Near Winchester
Pay: £14.25 per hour
Full-Time | Term Time Only
We are looking for a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary school near Winchester.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in SEN, support work, care, healthcare, childcare, or education who are looking to make a meaningful impact in a school setting.
You will support primary-aged pupils with a range of complex special educational needs, including physical disabilities, learning difficulties, communication needs, and medical requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
Assisting with personalised learning activities
Providing personal care where required
Supporting mobility and specialist equipment use
Encouraging communication, independence, and wellbeing
Working closely with teachers and other professionals
Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Experience supporting children or vulnerable individuals
A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
Comfortable supporting both learning and care needs
Ability to work well within a team
Full-time availability
Enhanced DBS required
£14.25 per hour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
