THE PURPOSE:
The Store Manager is accountable for leading a high-performing store team and delivering consistent business results through strong sales execution, operational excellence, and exceptional customer experience. This role owns the day-to-day performance of the store, including sales, KPIs, payroll, shrink, and visual standards, while recruiting, developing, and retaining top retail talent. The Store Manager leads by example, brings company initiatives to life on the sales floor, and ensures the store operates in alignment with True Religion’s brand, culture, and expectations.
THE ROLE (what you are accountable for):
1. Drive Business Results: Own all store KPIs, including sales, payroll, shrink, and profitability. Plan, prioritize, and adjust to meet business needs while working a flexible retail schedule.
2. Lead & Communicate Effectively: Set clear expectations, communicate priorities consistently, and foster an open, inclusive environment where teams feel informed, heard, and supported.
3. Inspire & Develop Teams: Lead by example, motivate through positive energy and integrity, and create a culture of recognition, accountability, and continuous improvement.
4. Plan & Execute: Take initiative, make informed decisions, and proactively plan staffing, scheduling, and workload to deliver results. Navigate the sales floor and stockroom as needed.
5. Problem Solve & Protect Assets: Use sound judgment to identify root causes, resolve challenges objectively, and safeguard company assets in partnership with Loss Prevention.
6. Build & Retain Talent: Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and develop high-performing teams. Identify internal talent, address performance issues consistently, and support succession planning.
7. Deliver Exceptional Customer Experience: Champion True Religion’s selling culture by setting service standards, coaching in the moment, and creating an engaging, brand-right environment.
8. Operational Excellence: Ensure consistent execution of policies, procedures, payroll controls, and MOD (Manager on Duty) standards while maintaining safety, compliance, and operational discipline.
9. Visual & Inventory Leadership: Uphold visual merchandising standards and maintain a clean, organized sales floor and stockroom.

QUALIFICATIONS:
10. 3–5 years of retail management experience in a specialty or fashion environment
11. High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
12. Proven ability to drive store KPIs, including sales, payroll, shrink, and profitability
13. Demonstrated success in recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing retail teams
14. Strong customer engagement skills with a focus on delivering exceptional in-store experiences
15. Experience executing visual merchandising standards and maintaining brand presentation
16. Solid operational knowledge, including scheduling, inventory management, and loss prevention
17. Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
18. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning retail systems and technology
ADDITIONAL ROLE INFORMATION:
19. Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this role is $60,000 – $65,000. This is a full-time, exempt position. This range represents the low and high ends of the expected base salary range for this role based on the applicable location. True Religion reasonably expects to pay within this range in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity.

21. Physical & Work Requirements: This role requires the ability to maneuver on the sales floor and stockroom, as well as stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and peak retail hours.
