Overview
Our client, a UK market leader, seeks a Senior Estates Surveyor to join and lead an established Estates team, taking direct ownership of a significant leasehold UK property portfolio.
Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse portfolio of leasehold properties, ensuring efficient estate oversight and optimal use of space.
* Lead periodic lease renewals and rent reviews, negotiating favorable terms in line with company strategy.
* Collaborate with company solicitors to review lease clauses and address associated legal matters.
* Coordinate with external contractors and trades to plan and draft internal layouts and fit-outs.
* Review and approve property-related costs, including rent, service charges, and building insurance, prior to payment.
* Maintain and regularly update the company’s property database to ensure accurate and current records.
* Identify and secure suitable sites for new locations and relocations, negotiating Heads of Terms aligned with business requirements.
* Oversee the disposal of surplus or vacant properties through lease expiry, assignments, or sub-leasing.
* Manage ongoing building maintenance and repairs, ensuring all properties are kept in excellent condition.
The Person
* Hold an RICS accredited degree and ideally with at least 5 years PQE
* Existing lease management experience within a similar senior estates or asset management role.
* Hold a full clean driving licence to enable UK wide travel to visit locations across the UK
