A day in the life of… As a Sales Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Serve customers on the trade counter and in store, in a friendly and professional manner.
* Undertake all required training to help you confidently select the correct product for customers’ needs and to promote our brand.
* Ensure your store always looks well-presented and clean.
* Follow stock management procedures by taking in deliveries and keeping the shelves full.
Role details
Sales Assistant w/ Driving - Johnstone’s Decorating Centre, Stockport. Full Time | Permanent. This position is within our Architectural Coatings division and focuses on delivering customer-focused service while supporting store operations.
Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service at the trade counter and in-store.
* Complete in-store training to confidently assist customers and promote brand offerings.
* Maintain a well-presented and clean store environment.
* Adhere to stock management procedures, including receiving deliveries and replenishing shelves.
* Support driving duties where required (Driving license essential).
Qualifications & requirements
* Previous experience in a customer-facing environment is desirable but not essential; in-store training will be provided.
* Good IT skills and the ability to understand and use IT systems.
* Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
* Flexibility with working hours and duties.
* Driving license is essential.
