Job summary
Are you a caring, motivated, and kind person who like to think on your feet? Looking to join a Trust who will invest in your future and help you thrive in your career? Want to develop and learn new skills whilst making a difference?
If you are a committed and compassionate person who gets a buzz from helping others, and you're interested in starting a career within the NHS, our Clinical Support Worker (CSW) role could be the perfect fit for you.
The CSW role is very much what you make of it. The role will be challenging at times but also incredibly rewarding. If you're ambitious and interested in career development, we will support you to grow, including access to a range of paid training courses. Many of our nurses and clinical leaders began their NHS careers as CSWs and were supported by the Trust to progress.
The Trust currently supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this.
Main duties of the job
Our CSWs are such an important and valued part of our workforce here at CWP. One thing all our CSWs have in common is that they champion our values every day, in everything they do: Care; Compassion; Commitment; Courage; Communication; and Competence.
You will be working with adults with learning disabilities as part of an enthusiastic and supportive team. Admissions are short term for people with learning disabilities and complex needs requiring a period of intensive assessment, treatment and or therapy within an inpatient unit. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships with both colleagues and patients.
With the care you give, you'll be making a difference to patients with a learning disability and complex needs to their families every day.
You'll have excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships with those around you, be hardworking and enjoy a challenge. You'll have training for all aspects of the role, so you may learn some new skills.
As the ward is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the 11.5 hour shifts will include both days, nights and weekends (Days 07:30-20:00 and Nights 19:30-08:00).
Why not be a part of the team at one of our Assessment and Treatment units for adults with learning disabilities, in Chester? Eastway has been rated Outstanding by CQC (Care Quality Commission).
