With a strong presence across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, they provide cutting-edge trading solutions across asset classes. The Commodities division is expanding, and they are seeking a talented Quant Developer to join their team and contribute to the design and development of robust, scalable trading and risk models.
The Role:
As a Quant Developer in the Commodities team, you will play a key role in bridging quantitative research and technology. You will develop, implement, and maintain pricing models, analytics tools, and trading infrastructure that drive decision-making in global energy and commodity markets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain pricing models, risk analytics, and valuation tools for commodity products (e.g. power, gas, oil, metals).
* Partner with traders, quants, and technologists to implement models and tools in a production environment.
* Translate complex quantitative models into performant code using best practices in software engineering.
* Ensure quality and robustness through testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.
* Contribute to the evolution of the quantitative platform and data architecture.
Background:
* Strong academic background in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related quantitative field.
* 3+ years of experience in a quant developer, quant analyst, or similar role in trading or risk environments.
* Proficient in at least one major programming language (Python, C++, C#); familiarity with scientific computing libraries.
* Solid understanding of derivatives pricing, risk modelling, and numerical methods.
* Experience with commodities (energy, metals, or agriculture) is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of market data systems and databases (SQL, kdb+/q, time series) is a plus.
