Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Van Driver to join our team. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations, with the furthest drop off being in Scotland. The position requires no more than 3 points on your driver's license.
Responsibilities
* Drive a van and deliver goods to various locations in a timely and safe manner
* Plan delivery routes and ensure that all deliveries are made on time
* Load and unload goods from the van, and ensure that they are handled safely
* Ensure that all delivery paperwork and invoices are completed accurately
* Maintain the van in good working condition, reporting any issues or faults immediately
* Follow all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring that the van is operated safely at all times
* Provide excellent customer service, interacting with clients in a polite and professional manner
* Maintain a clean and tidy van, ensuring that it is presentable at all times
Requirements
* Full, clean driver’s license with no more than 3 points
* Previous experience as a van driver or similar role is preferred
* Good knowledge of road safety and traffic laws and regulations
* Ability to plan delivery routes efficiently and effectively
* Good communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner
* Ability to lift and carry heavy items
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends if required
* Good time management and organisational skills
The hours of work are Monday to Friday (Overtime when necessary).
