Internal Account Manager - Packaging

Location: Site Based - South Wales (Newport)

The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to join a well-established, market leading manufacturer of packaging products as an Internal Account Manager. Working closely with the external sales team operating within both your area and one other site, you will support them with various elements of the sales process.

Working from within their busy and successful branch in South Wales, you will liaise with prospects to confirm requirements, manage order intakes, assist in preparing quotes and estimates, designs, and follow up on proposals submitted; as well as be the first point of contact for all existing clients, managing delivery deadlines (some of which will need to be put together and sent out within 24 hours) and ensuring the retention of existing accounts.

Your main focus in this role will be to deliver outstanding customer service to any client you speak with, ensure that you manage their expectations correctly (and deliver upon this) & maintain excellent lines of communication so that the customer feels heard and supported. A large part of being able to deliver an exceptional service to customers will be engaging with, and building strong internal relationships with, other key departments and stakeholders as seamless & positive collaboration between other areas of the business is key.

Your day to day will be incredibly busy, and you will have multiple deadlines/responsibilities to keep on top of, so excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and work under pressure are all essential qualities to be successful in this role.

Requirements: To be considered for the role of Internal Account Manager you must...

· Within commutable distance to Newport.
· Have at least 12 months experience within a professional internally based customer service or sales role.
· Have worked for a manufacturer previously.
· Demonstrate exceptional Excel skills, and prior experience of using SAP would be advantageous
· Good level of numeral literacy & financial acumen.
· Confident & adaptable communicator with the ability to gain credibility with individuals of varying different levels.
· Be incredibly organizational with the ability to prioritize effectively and thrive working under pressure.
