Job Description
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will oversee a management team across production, supply chain, projects, and QHSE. You will have full autonomy to drive manufacturing metrics to achieve efficiency, growth, and high performance.
As Operations Manager, you will be a key part of the senior leadership team, tasked with developing and executing strategies aligned with the organisation's vision and values. With a focus on customer service and new product development, this role will collaborate with other sites to expand the business offering.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
1. Driving best-in-class health & safety standards
2. Developing and implementing people and leadership strategies to foster high performance
3. Implementing innovative and dynamic supply chain systems
4. Challenging existing systems and processes while developing lean opportunities
5. Collaborating with Technical and Commercial teams on New Product Development to ensure the business remains dynamic and entrepreneurial
The Successful Applicant
The ideal Operations Manager will possess an exceptional leadership style and enthusiasm for manufacturing, with experience in:
1. Production leadership within a relevant, technical industry
2. Applying lean methodologies with practical examples of developing systems and cultures
3. Materials management and inventory control
4. Analytical skills with experience in ERP system development and utilisation
