Description
* Oversee all tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
* Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and on time.
* Proactively identify and manage tax risks within the business.
* Work closely with other departments to ensure tax efficiency.
* Provide advice on tax matters, supporting strategic decision making.
* Keep up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
* Conduct tax audits and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities.
* Support the implementation of tax-saving initiatives.
Profile
A successful Tax Accountant should have:
* A degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field.
* Professional certification in tax or accounting (e.g. ACCA, CTA, ACA) from a top practice
* Solid knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
* Prior experience preparing Corporate Tax
* Prior experience in Customs tax would be a distinct advantage
* Experience in industrial and manufacturing sector is a plus.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
Job Offer
* Base salary: £70,000-£90,000
* £500-£1,500 Discretionary bonus
* 4.5 day working week
