Kingston Barnes is recruiting for a Safety and Compliance Manager for our client in the Glasgow area. This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager with a safety, health, environmental, and quality background to join a market‑leading business. You will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures to deliver a highly compliant environment with safety at the forefront.
The Role
* Develop and manage site safety procedures and compliance systems.
* Oversee ISO management systems (ISO 45001, 9001, 14001, 50001).
* Lead incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety audits.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and environmental permits.
* Provide safety leadership and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
* Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
* Deliver training and toolbox talks to improve awareness across the site.
About you
* Knowledge of the energy from waste, power, or process industry.
* NEBOSH / IOSH qualification (essential).
* Strong experience in health & safety management within a manufacturing, engineering, or process industry.
* Experience with ISO standards and audits.
* Proven ability to drive safety policies and procedures.
* Strong leadership and influencing skills.
