Educational Teaching Assistant RoleHays Education are excited to be working with a warm and inclusive primary school in Huddersfield, who are seeking a compassionate and skilled Educational Teaching Assistant to support pupils with visual and hearing impairments from September. This is a meaningful opportunity to empower learners and help them thrive every day. About the Role
* Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with sensory impairments
* Adapting learning materials to ensure accessibility and inclusion
* Supporting communication needs using specialist strategies or equipment
* Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and external professionals
* Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning experiences
* Supporting progress towards EHCP targets
What We're Looking For
* Experience supporting pupils with visual and/or hearing impairments
* Strong understanding of inclusive practice and differentiated learning
* A patient, empathetic and proactive approach
* Ability to follow specialist guidance and adapt quickly
* Recent experience in a school setting within the last 2 years
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
