Overview
AMP Group practice is a national award-winning practice with high standards, 9 GP's in place. This post would be an ideal position for an existing Assistant / Deputy Manager from a large GP practice or a Practice Manager from a smaller practice with aspirations to progress their career in a well-led and supported practice. We have many innovative services we deliver locally. Hours: 37.5 hours over 5 days. Reporting to: Practice Manager.
Responsibilities
* To support the Practice Group Director (GDP) in the execution of her role and especially in the absence of the Practice Group Director
* To be responsible for the day to day management of all staff and team leaders
* To support the IT lead in the administration of the Clinical System and other software
* To provide first point of contact for all premises issues, costing works
* To work with Board on the production of performance and quality standards within the practice
Quality, Governance and Compliance
* Compliance And Quality Improvement: Ensuring the practice complies with CQC regulations and standards. Implement quality assurance measures to continuously improve the quality of care and services provided.
* Quality: Be aware of national, local and practice quality standards for chronic disease management; participate in policy workings, updates, and inspection processes across main and branch sites.
* Health and Safety: Co-ordinate regular risk assessments, train staff on H&S responsibilities, act as Fire Officer with monthly drills, and ensure documentation is up to date.
HR, IT, Premises and Data
* Human Resources, Records and Training: Recruit, induct and train staff; undertake staff reviews and appraisals; manage staff rotas and leave; maintain training records; assist with payroll information; ensure GDPR and confidentiality compliance.
* IT Support and Data Quality: Support IT matters related to the Clinical System, administer Smart Card system, provide training on the Clinical System.
* Premises and Equipment: Maintain premises, cost repairs, coordinate inspections/calibration checks, manage petty cash, report faults and remedial actions.
Performance and Development
* Performance and Quality Indicators: Support clinical sub-groups in patient assessment/targeting; validate patient information with CCG/PCN/Federation; participate in significant event auditing; report on DES and LES achievement.
* Personal/Professional Development: Participate in annual performance review; maintain development records; share knowledge; pursue new training requirements.

Essential and Desirable Qualifications
Essential
* Previous GP Practice Management experience (Assistant Manager / Small Practice Management or Senior Administrator/Reception Manager), roughly 10 years at senior reception level
* Experience managing front-line staff (holiday management, sickness, QOF, complaints management, staff rotas)
Desirable
* Leadership/Management qualification; strong IT skills; health and safety experience; Systmone user skills; basic bookkeeping and PPA/Claims; ability to motivate teams and maintain a positive working environment
Other Details
Salary: Competitive DOE. Contract: Permanent. Working pattern: Full-time. Location: Multiple sites including Spa Pool Road, Askern and Doncaster area. DBS check will be required.
