In this vital role, you will be at the heart of our media operations—tracking, analysing, and reporting on coverage across broadcast, print, and online platforms. Your insights will help ensure Conservative MPs, Shadow Cabinet members, and Party staff are kept fully informed of the latest developments and narratives shaping the political landscape.
Areas of responsibility
1. Use digital tools for media monitoring, summaries, and coverage reports
2. Monitor key media outlets, including during morning, evening and late cycles, and flag relevant developments to Press Officers
3. Understand the media landscape; track where political narratives are developing, including real-time developments
4. Support delivery of daily summaries, social media content, and urgent developments
5. Support the Leader of the Opposition and Shadow Cabinet events and visits
6. Ensure high accuracy in monitoring outputs, summaries, and transcripts
7. Share relevant monitoring insights with other teams (Campaigns, Research) across daytime and evening shifts
