✨ Are you a resilient, confident tutor with a great personality who truly connects with SEN learners and knows how to bring out the best in every child? ✨
Academics are seeking a dedicated Tutor to deliver high-quality, tailored 1-to-1 sessions for children and young people in the Tunbridge Wells area who have SEN, out of education or EAL. Sessions may take place in a learner's home, a public setting such as a library, or within an agreed education provision.
As a Tutor, you will work closely with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), delivering personalised learning and targeted interventions that support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing of the student. You will adapt your approach to meet individual needs and help learners build confidence, engagement, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
The Tutor will:
Deliver personalised 1-to-1 sessions aligned to individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes
Plan and implement appropriate educational and emotional interventions
Support children with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and anxiety
Adapt sessions to suit different environments and learning styles
Provide clear feedback on progress and engagement to families and professionalsAbout You
An experienced Tutor or educator with a good understanding of trauma-informed approaches
Strong knowledge of autism, ADHD, SEMH, and anxiety in children
Patient, flexible, and confident working in homes, public settings, or provisions
Able to build trusting relationships with children who may find learning challenging
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)What We Offer
