The Tower Hamlets Women’s Health Hub is an exciting new pilot project, transforming healthcare for women in the borough. We want to:
·support more women to better self-manage
·help primary care to provide a consistently high quality service
·make sure women access the right specialist care at the right time, minimizing the need for multiple, unnecessary hospital appointments
The main goals for the first phase of the service are the establishment of:
·A new Single Point of Access for GPs to receive guidance on women’s health and to triage referrals to the right clinics
·Integrated and holistic women’s health care at our physical hub, based at Mile End Hospital through clinics led by GPs with a special interest, consultants, physiotherapists, sonographers and nurses.
The Women’s Health Hub Administrator will play an important role in supporting patients and clinicians in the service. They are responsible for providing a patient focused, effective and efficient Central Appointments service to our patients & their carers, clinical teams and CAG managers. Main duties will include reception cover, registering and scanning referrals, booking & cancelling appointments, dealing with telephone enquiries, managing e-Referrals appointments, cancelling clinics and amending clinic slots, obtaining Minimum Data Sets, updating patient demographic details and preparing clinic profile change documentation for submission. They will also support staff with timetabling, guidance on internal processes, and collecting and processing data for service planning and evaluation.
Working in adherence to the Trust Access Policy, Governance and local Standard Operating Procedures at all times, the post holder will liaise with a number of key stakeholders to ensure the Outpatient referral and booking process is efficient and fit for purpose and that patients are able to access our services and receive expert clinical care.
