W&A is supporting with a five-month contract (potential to extend) that offers the opportunity to work closely with the Finance Director of a high-performing consultancy based in Edinburgh, with a strong UK and international presence. Working on a hybrid basis (typically two to three days in the office), the contract runs through to March, with an immediate start preferable if possible. The Opportunity This is a hands-on and commercially focused finance role where you'll play a key part in supporting the Finance Director across a range of initiatives and projects. You'll assist with management reporting, month-end processes, and business insight, while providing guidance and support to the transactional finance team. Key Responsibilities Assist with management accounting and month-end close activities Support strategic finance projects and business improvement initiatives Provide commercial insight and challenge key financial information Partner closely with the Finance Director to deliver accurate, timely reporting Offer informal support and guidance to the transactional finance team What You'll Bring A professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Experience within management accounting and commercial finance roles Strong analytical and communication skills, able to challenge and add value A proactive, hands-on approach and confidence working in a fast-paced, evolving business Ability to work collaboratively and support wider finance team members Base Salary £60,000 - £70,000 To learn more or apply, please contact Andrea Green for a private and confidential discussion.
