Dorset Council is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to Return to Social Work. If you have been away from the profession for over 2 years, Dorset Council can offer a Return to Social Work programme to support your learning and development, with the opportunity to work in a social work team to gain the supervised practice required to re-register with Social Work England.
We offer a paid placement as a Family Worker for up to 6 months, helping you complete the necessary supervised practice days. Alongside this role, we provide an extensive support programme to facilitate your transition back into the profession.

About You
* You must have experience working with Children and Families in a social care setting.
* You must have been previously registered with a social work body in England (HCPC or Social Work England).
* You will be employed as a Family Worker.
What You Will Be Doing
You will support our teams through direct work with children and families, contributing to multi-agency plans and interventions to improve outcomes for children and young people in Dorset. The role involves delivering support to children, young people, and families in localities, adopting a whole-family approach.
