We are looking for Registered Nurses (Adult Nurses/RGNs) or Paramedics with a minimum of two years in a post‑qualification patient‑facing role to join our custody suite team in partnership with the Police. You will work in custody suites caring for detainees and providing physical, mental and forensic care.
What you can expect to earn
* £20.50 per hour for 1–2 shifts per month
* £22.50 per hour for 3–5 shifts per month
* £24.50 per hour for 6+ shifts per month
Essential experience
* Registered Nurse / RGN with at least 2 years post‑qualification (Band 5 minimum) or dual‑registered RMN
* Paramedic with at least 2 years post‑qualification
* At least 2 years in a patient‑facing role such as General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, walk‑in centres, substance‑misuse services, prison healthcare or ambulance service
Licensing and certification
* National HCPC/NMC registration (required)
* Valid driving licence (required)
* UK resident for 3 years with no gaps out of the country longer than 3 months
* All candidates will be subject to Police vetting
Role responsibilities
In custody suites you will provide comprehensive physical, mental and forensic care to detainees, administer medications, maintain accurate electronic records, assess health and safety needs, collect forensic samples for police investigations, and work with Liaison and Diversion teams to address factors that could prevent future crimes.
No previous forensic experience is required; all necessary training will be provided.
