HGV Class 2 Driver - Temp to Perm

£18.00 per hour | £24.00 OT after 10 hours
The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join a specialist bridge maintenance company operating across the UK. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with excellent earning potential and long-term prospects.

About the Role
You will be working as part of a skilled maintenance team carrying out essential repairs on bridges and highway structures.
Projects include:
* Bridge expansion joints installation
* Bridge deck waterproofing
* Concrete repairs
* Bearings and structural maintenance
Work is primarily in Yorkshire, however flexibility is required as you may need to work away 1-2 nights per week (night-out allowance paid).

⏰ Working Hours
* Minimum 50 hours per week
* Minimum 10-hour shifts
* Mix of day and night shifts (predominantly nights)
* Monday to Friday, with regular weekend overtime available

Pay
* £18.00 per hour
* £24.00 per hour overtime (after 10 hours per shift)
* Night-out allowance paid when working away

What We're Looking For
* Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
* Willingness to work nights and away from home when required
* Ability to work safely as part of a small team (2-4 operatives)
* Comfortable working on highways and in physically demanding environments
✅ Desirable (not essential):
* CSCS Card
* Highway maintenance experience
* Plant or machinery tickets/experience
