This is a great job for an experienced, qualified actuary or equivalently experienced individual who is looking to lead on projects, manage high-achieving individuals and is able to build strong relationships with multiple business stakeholders e.g. Underwriters, Reserving, Capital Modelling, Finance, Ops, Risk, Data Engineering.
A bit about the job:
The Head of Portfolio Analysis role will support the Director of Exposure Management, Pricing & Insight for Commercial Lines with building and developing industry leading exposure management, technical pricing and management information capabilities. Providing Underwriters with the essential tools and insights to deliver on their financial plans, improve portfolio performance and enhance decision making across commercial lines.
There is a need to be in our London office at least twice p/week for this role.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Understanding of non property Exposure Management market developments along with supporting the placement of treaty RI
* Experience in leading technical projects across the pricing spectrum from case pricing large accounts, rate reviews, portfolio management and working with Data Engineering teams to build high quality pricing databases
* Ability to manage high-performing technical experts and provide input into how to develop portfolio strategies
* Balancing BAU work with one-off projects that require portfolio analysis input to support business decisions along with coding skills, interest in Gen AI
* Experience in a leadership role and ability to manage various senior stakeholder relationships
