Overview
Chichester College, part of the Chichester College Group, is seeking a Teaching & Learning Manager for GCSE maths and English. The role is full‑time, permanent, 37 hours per week, and offers a competitive salary pro rata of £44,630 – £48,774 per annum.
The Manager will oversee provision for adult learners returning to education as well as 16–19 learners resitting GCSEs. You will be responsible for the highest quality of teaching, learning and assessment and will work closely with other Teaching & Learning Managers across the College.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment and support for students.
* Contribute to all curriculum planning processes, including curriculum intent statements and timetabling.
* Manage maths and English delivery across all product lines.
* Provide advice and support for new developments that broaden the curriculum, including input from community, employers and stakeholders.
* Support recruitment of students by attending open events and other events as required.
* Contribute to the effective recruitment and retention of teaching, delivery and support staff, supporting staff with a coaching approach.
* Encourage innovation, risk‑taking and use of technology to enhance curriculum delivery, engagement and learning.
* Promote equality, diversity and inclusion within the curriculum and the College community.
Qualifications and Experience
* Certificate in Education or Post Graduate Certificate in Education, or equivalent.
* Level 3 qualification relevant to the area of teaching expertise.
* Proven record of teaching and assessment to a consistently high standard, including the use of technology.
* Proven record of trialling new developments within own teaching & learning and assessment and supporting the development of others.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of curriculum and teaching and learning including the GCSE system, proven through continuing professional development.
