An opportunity has arisen for a Principal Engineer to work in the Central Data team to ensure the effectiveness of tools, processes, and policies in place.
Salary: Circa £47,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification

We seek an engineer experienced with ERP systems, who enjoys sharing knowledge and developing best practices. Responsibilities include defining and managing audit strategies aligned with the master data policy, collaborating with engineering and planning teams to drive improvements and standardisation.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A collaborative nature, supporting engineering and manufacturing teams
* Experience with SAP for data extraction, interpretation, and communication of cause and effect
* Reviewing engineering processes to ensure robust MRP output
* First-line support for daily SAP issues
* Involvement in operational excellence master data initiatives to promote data integrity
* Generating KPI reports
* Developing and executing auditing strategies for master data, including material masters, BOMs, and routings
* Defining processes for routing times to optimise SAP capacity and scheduling
* Understanding and defining processes for creating new assembly structures, working with cross-functional teams to improve SAP support for customer delivery
* Creating detailed requirement analysis and functional specifications based on business needs
* Collaborating with outsourced support to implement, test, and support SAP enhancements, including training
* Performing regression testing for SAP updates or upgrades
* Maintaining SAP user guides
Qualifications and skills:
* HNC level or equivalent
* APICS supply chain certification (desirable)
* ERP experience essential
* SAP experience beneficial
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Attention to detail
* Proven track record in process improvements
