We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join our team. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will support the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of our residents. This includes personal care such as washing, dressing, hygiene and meals, as well as helping with daily activities in the home. You will deliver care that comes from the heart, ensuring residents retain their individuality. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility in adult social care; you should be able to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You should also be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.

Responsibilities
* Support residents with personal care including washing, dressing, hygiene and meals.
* Assist with daily activities in the home and promote residents’ independence and dignity.
* Provide compassionate end-of-life care when required, offering comfort and reassurance.
* Recognise safeguarding concerns and report them according to policy; participate in safeguarding training.
* Assist under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to support physical, emotional and social wellbeing.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Ability to recognise signs of potential abuse, harm or neglect and know how to escalate concerns.
* All colleagues must attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional relevant training.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to digital care planning and new technologies; support is available to develop these skills.
* Availability to participate in a shift pattern that may include eight-hour shifts with a nutritious meal during the shift.
Salary and Location
Salary: £12.60 to £13.10 per hour
