Role Summary
The purpose of this versatile role is to manage the library as a vibrant student support area. The role includes daily operation of the library, immediate supervision of library staff, and ensuring the space remains engaging, safe, and purposeful for learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Run the daily operation of the library and supervise staff.
* Ensure the library facilities are available, advertised and accessible to students and staff.
* Work with curriculum departments to promote resource use and student engagement.
* Promote positive student behaviour and challenge where needed.
* Drive continuous improvement of library provision, engaging with key stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate records and organise library resources.
* Work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications and Experience
* Energy, enthusiasm and presence to enable effective running of a vibrant learning environment.
* A confident and outgoing personality.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience working with students and young people in an education setting.
* Educated to A-Level or equivalent.
* Knowledge and experience of using MS Office packages.
* Ability to organise and maintain records effectively.
* Flexible to changing needs.
* Self‑starter with initiative.
