Medlock Partners are currently supporting a high-growth, internationally recognised FMCG business, as they look to appoint a talented Controls & Compliance Accountant to join its dynamic finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role sits within a high-performing finance function and offers broad exposure across internal controls, compliance, and international operations. You’ll play a key role in strengthening financial governance, supporting reporting accuracy, and driving best practice across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the development and continuous improvement of internal controls frameworks
* Partner with internal audit teams to resolve findings and enhance compliance processes
* Contribute to accurate financial and non-financial reporting, ensuring strong data integrity
* Support international tax and VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions
* Assist with regulatory and compliance initiatives, including data protection and anti-bribery frameworks
* Play a key role in period-end reporting and wider finance projects
* Drive awareness and engagement around compliance standards across the business
Key requirements
* Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or finalist
* Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders
* Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused mindset
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
