About The Role
We are currently recruiting a female Live in Care and Support Worker to support a client in North Norfolk on a two weeks on two weeks off rotation.
This role involves living in the client’s home and providing care and support in line with assessed needs. The support provided reflects what would reasonably be offered by a family member and does not include nursing tasks.
Responsibilities
* Assist the client with getting up and going to bed, including dressing, washing, bathing and toileting
* Support with mobility, physical disabilities, continence care and use of aids or equipment
* Provide care for clients who are temporarily unwell or require additional support
* Offer emotional support and companionship as needed
* Promote mental and physical activity through conversation, reading, hobbies and outings
* Prepare meals, support safe food preparation and storage
* Make and change beds, carry out light cleaning, laundry and general tidying
* Support with medication prompts and encourage independence with self-administration
* Maintain written records and participate in reviews where required
* Report any changes in the client’s health or circumstances to the Care Manager or Field Care Supervisor
* Liaise with family members, professionals and other care staff as directed
* Provide night-time support where reasonably required

Desired Criteria
* Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software.
* Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
* Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
