Job Title: Specialist TA - Vision Support Team Three vacancies available 25 hours: £14,849 to £17,447 per annum £865 SEN 23 hours: £13,661 to £16,051 per annum £796 SEN Location: Worcestershire or Redditch Team: Vision Support Team Permanent Contract, Term-time only The Role: We are a highly regarded, friendly team supporting learners with a sensory impairment in mainstream settings across the county. This is an opportunity to join us as a Specialist Teaching Assistant working with children or young people with a vision impairment in their educational setting in Worcestershire. You will be working with Qualified Teachers of Children with a Vision Impairment / Multisensory Impairment, a Habilitation Specialist, and Specialist Practitioners as well as school based staff. We are seeking to appoint 3 committed, experienced and highly motivated Specialist Teaching Assistants with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support a range of students at different key stages, in a variety of settings including those with complex needs. Confidence to advocate for the needs of vision impaired pupils and the ability to travel across the county is essential. You will have experience of working with children/ young people, meeting targeted outcomes and a Braille qualification or willingness to learn. All necessary training will be provided and you will have access to a range of CPD and support within the team.
