Opportunity: EC&I Engineer – Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Status: Contract 4 months, Outside IR35 Location: West London Start Date: November 2025 Addison Project Plc is seeking a contractor to provide Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineering services to support the design phase of a sustainable energy project. The scope requires design office technical expertise to ensure compliance with client specifications and UK legislation. Services to be Provided * Deliver EC&I engineering design support for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. * Perform technical calculations and ensure all designs meet regulatory and client requirements. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution. * Represent the client’s technical interests as the Owner’s Engineer, ensuring technical compliance, quality assurance, and alignment with project objectives. * Provide expert input during troubleshooting, failure analysis, and performance optimisation of EC&I systems. * Oversee design office deliverables to ensure alignment with project requirements and industry standards. * Review and approve vendor documentation, including datasheets, drawings, specifications, and control philosophies. Experience Required * Minimum HNC in Electrical, Control or Instrumentation Engineering from a UK institution. * Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it. * Demonstrable UK onshore refinery / petrochemical / chemical experience in EC&I design engineering. * Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA
