Nuclear Engineering Professional
Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 per annum (depend on experience).
Locations: Bristol, Gloucester Burton, Manchester, Leatherhead or Glasgow.
Pattern: Flexible hybrid – office, client sites, remote.
Closing date: 31st December 2025.
About the role
Frazer‑Nash delivers innovative solutions across the nuclear lifecycle. Your work will cover design, safety case authoring, assessments, and defueling/decommissioning support. You will manage full project lifecycle from bid to closure.
Key responsibilities
* Develop strategies for nuclear technical challenges.
* Produce technical documentation for clients.
* Apply knowledge across varied nuclear technologies.
* technical guidance, mentorship and training.
* Manage projects against time, cost and quality.
* Seek new business opportunities, generate proposals and bids.
* Maintain long‑term client relationships.
Essential requirements
* Degree (or equivalent) in science or engineering.
* Technical knowledge in mechanical, process, electrical, C&I, design, hazards, radiological protection, equipment qualification, or severe accidents.
* At least 5 years' experience in highly regulated or high hazard industries.
* Demonstrated success in technical delivery.
* Strong problem‑solving and collaboration skills.
* Clear written and verbal communication.
* Desire to develop nuclear engineering skills.
* Willingness to travel to client sites.
Desirable requirements
* Engineering management / project engineering capability.
* Experience of operations, engineering, or safety case development at nuclear sites.
* Consultancy environment experience.
* Business development and client relationship skills.
* Project management experience.
* Chartered status or working towards it.
