and main responsibilities
You will be responsible for the supervision and training of a range of healthcare personnel within the capacity of Non-Invasive Cardiac Physiology providing a comprehensive training programme, competency, and performance assessment, adhering to professional guidelines to ensure clinical and patient safety.
You will also take an active role in the day-to-day management of the Cardiac Physiology service and deputise for the Head of Cardiac Physiology Service Manager during periods of absence.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or recognised equivalent (BTEC or HNC MPPM)
2. Post graduate qualification in area of specialised cardiac physiology (e.g. BSE / BHRS / IBHRE)

3. Managerial & Leadership qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
4. Minimum years (post-qualification)
5. Evidence of contributing towards service development
6. Extensive experience within Non-Invasive Physiology (Ambulatory monitors, Exercise tolerance testing).
7. Evidence of Staff Management including recruitment, appraisal etc.
8. Experience and evidence of procurement of medical equipment and managing consumable stock control
Technical Skills
Essential criteria
9. Evidence of ability to independently perform advanced clinical practice in non-invasive physiology
10. Evidence of continuing professional development
11. Evidence of effective communication skills both written and oral
12. The ability to liaise confidently & effectively with other disciplines internally within the Trust and externally
Desirable criteria
13. Evidence of Quality Assurance and Clinical Governance practice
14. Evidence of innovative work undertaken within the speciality.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
15. Knowledge of all published SCST and NICE guidelines relating to non-invasive physiology
16. Knowledge of training pathways relating to cardiac physiology such as PTP, STP and ETP pathways.
17. Knowledge and understanding of NHS structure, organisational policies and current developments in the NHS
