Bell House Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and proactive Practice Manager. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in ensuring the smooth running and strategic development of our busy and community focused GP practice, maintaining high standards of patient care and supporting the team to achieve organisational goals. Full support, structured handover and on-the-job training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
AsPractice Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of thepractice, and for supporting and motivating the staff team to be the best theycan be. You will lead on QOF, IT, CQC andNHS contractual compliance, implement policies, oversee financial processes includingaccounts, payroll and partner drawings and work collaboratively with a numberof external stakeholders including the PCN. You will be supported in all you doby a management team comprising of two Reception Managers and a Deputy Manager

Bell House Medical Centre is a busy and community focused GP practice based in Bury Park Luton, a vibrant, multicultural neighbourhood located just over a mile from Luton town centre. The area is well known for it's bustling high street, diverse range of shops, cafes and restaurants, and strong sense of community. We serve this population and are committed to delivering high-quality, patient centred care.
Our team consists of 6 GP partners, 3 nurses, 1 pharmacy technician, reception and administrative teams, alongside support from our Primary Care Network staff. Our management team consists of a Deputy Manager and two Reception managers working with the Practice Manager. We are a training practice and have ST1/3s, F2s and student doctors on rotation.
We operate a clinician led triage, supported by a triage admin team, under the Modern General Practice Model, and work closely with our local pharmacies and PCN to increase capacity.

Job responsibilities
BellHouse Medical Centre is seeking an outstanding individual to take on therole of Practice Manager for our busy 11000 patient practice. We aim to provide the highest level of carefor our patients at the same time as being a teaching practice, ensuring thenext generation of GPs and doctors are trained to exceptional levels.
AsPractice Manager you will be involved in all aspects of running the surgerywith particular emphasis as follows..
Oversee the day-to-day management of the practice
Supportand manage the administrative and clinical staff
Leadon Quality and Outcomes Framework performance
Handlepatient feedback and complaints professionally and effectively
Ensurecompliance with CQC and NHS contractual requirements
ManageHR processes, including recruitment, staff development and performance
Overseefinancial and operational processes in collaboration with the partners
Implementpolicies and procedures to improve efficiency and patient experience
Workcollaboratively with the PCN and external stakeholders
Contributeto strategic planning and drive the practice forward
Youwill have access to the NHS pension, and we follow AfC for our Annual Leave allowance.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* A good level of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills
* IGPM accreditation
Experience
* Previous practice management or healthcare management experience
* Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills
* Experience in HR management
* Good IT skills including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
* Understanding of NHS systems, policies and procedures
* Experience with SystmOne clinical system
* Ability to work independently and proactively
* Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality patient services
