Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Payroll Division. This UK-based role will support our global teams.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will be crucial in the success of our payroll offerings. Your expertise in payroll product development and commercial acumen will help grow and scale our services, impacting our clients' financial well-being. You will oversee product planning and execution throughout the business lifecycle, supporting our growth and client base. Reporting to the Associate Director – Payroll, and matrix reporting to the CEO and CTO, you will drive strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
* Lead payroll technology product initiatives by analyzing the market and competitor landscape.
* Stay updated on UK payroll legislation, advising clients on relevant changes.
* Collaborate with partners and resellers to understand requirements and develop prioritized roadmaps.
* Reengineer processes to challenge industry norms.
* Manage the entire product lifecycle from conception to optimization.
* Monitor product health, manage risks, and resolve cross-functional issues.
* Ensure quality delivery of product initiatives and achieve business outcomes.
* Implement software management policies for predictable delivery and market launch.
* Communicate progress to stakeholders and coordinate across teams.
* Engage directly with clients to understand their payroll needs and manage expectations.
Candidate Requirements:
* Deep knowledge of UK payroll legislation and tax regulations.
* Experience in product delivery, including ideation, planning, risk, and stakeholder management in agile environments.
* Ability to manage expectations of senior stakeholders and drive consensus.
* Excellent communication skills for explaining complex issues.
* CIPP qualification or equivalent experience.
* Negotiation skills balancing best practices and practical considerations.
* Experience delivering fully managed payroll services across various industries.
* Leadership experience in payroll management or related roles.
