Deputy Store Manager Position
As a key member of our team, you will play an integral role in the success of our store. Your primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively with the Store Manager to maximize profit, lead the team, and deliver a seamless operation.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Maximise Profit
* Regularly review sales, operations, and digital performance to identify areas for improvement and drive actions to increase results.
* Foster a culture of selling more while maintaining cost controls through effective processes.
* Ensure all agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
2. Engage, Develop & Retain Great People
* Support the Store Manager in communicating effectively with the team and foster a positive working environment.
* Drive team engagement by showing appreciation and respect for every team member.
* Encourage inclusivity and empower team members to excel in their roles.
* Maintain accurate records of employee performance and development.
3. Doing the Right Processes and Doing Them Right
* Closely monitor store conditions daily to ensure exceptional customer service and take necessary actions.
* Role-model excellent customer service, both in-store and at the doorstep, striving to maintain the highest standards.
* Evaluate cash handling and security processes regularly to guarantee compliance.
* Implement all One Best Way processes digitally throughout the store through the team.
* Guarantee adherence to legal regulations across all areas to minimize risks.
4. Leadership
* Set the pace for the team by being hands-on and leading by example.
* Serve as a proactive problem-solver, taking prompt action to resolve issues.
* Actively communicate with colleagues and management to address concerns and implement solutions.

* Demonstrated leadership experience within a retail management role.
