Job Details
Lead Statutory Return and Report Officer within the Data & Intelligence team in the People Department at Enfield Council. This full‑time, fixed‑term or secondment role works in a hybrid London setting.
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead timely and accurate statutory return submission, performance development, and analysis for children’s social care and education services.
* Collate, manage and analyse data from across the People directorate and produce information reports for service performance, statutory returns and improvement of outcomes for children and young people.
* Produce wide range of reports using MS Word, PowerPoint, Power BI and other analytical techniques such as SQL, Power BI, Business Objects.
* Ensure integrity of data, benchmark performance against national and regional peers, and check quality of data in the Liquidlogic Children’s Case Management and Access Synergy systems.
* Communicate findings to a wide range of stakeholders and present reports for various audiences.
* Support continuous improvement of reporting processes and data quality.
Required qualifications and experience:
* Experience with children’s social care and education systems.
* Advanced knowledge of MS Office and reporting programmes such as SQL, Business Objects and Power BI.
* Strong organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines and present information clearly.
* Understanding of confidentiality issues within a statutory service framework and knowledge of the UK General Data Protection Regulation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of producing high‑quality performance and statistical data.
* Proficiency in creating insight report writing in Word documents.
Additional information:
* Good literacy and numeracy. Experience with MS Excel, backend SQL and Power BI writing.
