Analytical Development Technician Sector: Manufacturing / Scientific Product Development Location: Norfolk Type: Permanent Salary: Discussed on application Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, days ISQ Recruitment is recruiting for an Analytical Development Technician to join a specialist technical development team in Norfolk. This is a good opportunity for someone who wants more variety than a standard laboratory technician role. You will be involved in testing, analysis, development activity and technical problem solving, with the chance to take on more responsibility depending on your background and experience. The role could suit someone from a chemistry, analytical science, technical testing, product development, pharmaceutical, medical-related or regulated manufacturing background. Candidates with stronger analytical chemistry, method development or technical testing experience will have the opportunity to take on more involved laboratory and development work. The role will involve: Carrying out laboratory testing and prototype evaluation Using analytical and physical testing equipment Developing, improving and documenting test methods Reviewing, analysing and interpreting test data Highlighting anomalies, issues or unexpected results Preparing laboratory reports and technical records Supporting investigations and troubleshooting activity Maintaining good laboratory standards, equipment and supplies Working in line with internal quality, safety and compliance procedures Contributing to improvements in laboratory processes and testing methods What we are looking for: Previous laboratory experience in a technical, analytical, testing or development environment Good practical lab skills and strong attention to detail Confidence working with laboratory data and test results Ability to follow, write or improve test methods A careful, organised and methodical approach Good communication skills and the ability to work with technical colleagues Experience in analytical method development, product testing, formulation support, regulated environments or prototype evaluation would be useful, but the main requirement is a strong laboratory background with the ability to work accurately and think through technical problems.
